The City of Crystal Lake has regulations on recreational vehicle parking in residential areas. Recreational vehicles include, but are not limited to, the following: campers, camper trailers (pop-ups), motor homes, off-road vehicles, open trailers, pickup campers, snowmobiles, travel trailers, and watercraft. Any recreational vehicle that is under 25 feet long and 11 feet in height can be parked in front of the house on the residential driveway. Vehicles that exceed one of these dimensions have to be parked in the side or rear yard on an approved surface, or must be stored off-site. Other restrictions and exceptions may apply. Please see the Residential Parking Brochure or the Residential Parking Ordinance for more information.
